Show HERE AND THERE NOTES MRS. THEROL McARTHUR Mrs. Roscie G. Booth and three children left Cedar City last Thursday for Boise, Idaho where they will make their home in the future. They have been visiting in Cedar City with friends and relatives for the past several months. Mrs. Jay Lambert and daughter daugh-ter Vickie of Salt Lake City spent last week visiting in Cedar at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Lambert, Mr. and Mrs. Kent It a. 1 . m noyi, ana :ur. ana Mrs. Clarence Lamoreaux. Her husband, Dr. Jay Lambert, who is interning at the L D S hospital in Salt Lake City, spent the week end here, then drove his family home. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Lambert had as house guests all week Mrs. Lambert's sister, Mrs. Foyer Olson and four children of Freedom, Free-dom, Wyo. While here both families fam-ilies attended the Jackson family reunion in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heyborne and son Lin spent Thursday and Friday in Delta where they attended at-tended the funeral of Mrs. Hey-borne's Hey-borne's father, John Elhright, and also the wedding of their niece. Juvene Church to Ken Porter. Por-ter. Mr. Porter is a well known former student at C S U. The Heyhornes were accompanied home from Delta by Mr. and Mrs. Neil Heyborne of Garland. Utah, who spent the week end in Cedar. Mr. and Mrs. Harvev Duncan and daughter Wanda, former residents res-idents of Cedar City, spent Friday and Saturday in town visiting their manv friends. They were accompanied to their home in Fresno. Calif, bv Miss Fiona Hal-terman. Hal-terman. who will spend a week as their house guest. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Atkin have had as their house cuests for a ""ek. Mrs. Grant Finlinson, her daughter Sandra, pnd her 'in'' new son, all of Oak Citv. Thev returned to their home Sunday. Harrv Ahlstrom spent three davs in Kanab over Ihe week end on a business matter. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Williams and familv are leaving Cedar City to make their home in Idaho Ida-ho Falls. Mr. Williams is the southern Utah representative for Strevell Patterson Hardware Co. and will leave for bis new borne on Aug. 1. with Mrs. Williams i and the children ioining him as !soon as their affairs are settled. The Williams have lived in Cedar Ce-dar City for the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Miller and their daughter Lorraine left Tuesday for an extended vacation vaca-tion in the East. Thev nlan on visiting with Mr. Miller's relatives rela-tives in M in nest of a for two weeks, then driving home a new I car from Detroit. i Mr. and Mrs. Dee Cowan and family left last Thursday for a week's stay at Yellowstone Park. On their return they plan to spend the 24th of July in Salt Lake City where the children will enjoy the big parade and celebration cele-bration there. Mr.- and Mrs. R. C. Barber and daughters, Connie, Judy, Kathy and Nancy of Salt Lake City spent the week end at the home of Mrs. Barber's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Randall of Cedar City. LaNard Johnson, former resident resi-dent of Cedar and member of the local guard unit, visited here last week. It may be of interest to his friends to learn that he is running for sheriff of Kane County. Coun-ty. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Carpenter spent the week end in Las Vegas where Kent was best man at the wedding of his brother. Mrs. Bessie Whiting is spending spend-ing a few days in Cedar at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cornell Cor-nell Olds, while attending to some business. |
