Show Utah Jaycee Officer Pays Tribute To Local Organization A membership meeting of the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Cedar City was held at Milt's Stage Stop in Cedar Canyon last Thursday evening with State Vice President, Wilf Wegner of Richfield Rich-field as special guest. Making an official visit on behalf be-half of the Utah Jaycees, Wilf commended the local organization organiza-tion for its fine work this year. He mentioned specifically the establishment es-tablishment of a club at Beaver and the enthusiasm that was shown generally by the membership. member-ship. Another principal item of discussion dis-cussion centered around the circus cir-cus to be sponsored by the organization organ-ization on Aug. 28. It was announced an-nounced that Bob Hansen had accepted the general chairmanship chairman-ship of the project and several chairman were appointed at the session. Miles Morris, membership chairman, discussed the contest being conducted at the present time. She had had a very trying day and when her small son, who had been playing in the yard, came in with his pants torn, she snapped. "You go right in. 'take off your pants and mend them." Some time later she went in to see how he was getting along. The torn pants were lying on a chair in the kitchen, unmended. The door to the basement was open, so she called out: "Are you running around down there with your pants off?" "No ma'am," came the indignant indig-nant roar. "I'm reading the gas meter." |
