Show Iron County Assessed Valuation Shows Large Increase Assessed valuation of taxable property in Iron County has increased in-creased 55,263,525 over that of 1953 it was announced this week by County Assessor Hillman Dal-ley. Dal-ley. This brings the total assessed valuation of the county to $44,-883.262, $44,-883.262, compared to $39,619,737 last year, Mr. Dalley said. The major portion of the increase in-crease was on property assessed by the Stat3 Tax Commission. Of the total increase of $5,263,525, public utilities and other property proper-ty assessed by the state accounted account-ed for $5,131,233. This year's total assessment is $36,53-1,500 on state assessed property, and $S,35S,fiG3 on county asesied property. Last year the division was $21,390,366 and $8,229,371. Since the major portion of public pub-lic utility property, mines, railroads, rail-roads, etc., is located outside of the corporate limits of cities and towns, the unliving area accounts for all but $5,014,655. The total assessment of property outside the cities and towns is $39,069.- 697, which includes $3;.(9.S:)2 on state assessed property, and $3.3S9,S51 on county assessed property. The assessed valuation of property prop-erty in Cedar City itself is $5,011,655 this year, an increase of $265.1 OS over the $1,719,517 of last year. The increase on state assessed property was $15, ISO. and on county assessed property prop-erty $2 19.62.X. fiie value of prop-icrtv prop-icrtv in the citv assessed by the county is SU 99.900 and that assessed as-sessed bv the state is $K1 1.755. The value of property in I'aro-wan I'aro-wan city is hlighlly less than it was lasi year. This year's valuation valua-tion is S60X.GS6 as compared to ': $61 1.017 last year. Of the total 1 value only S23.637 is on state assessed as-sessed property.
