Show CELEBRATES GOLDEN WEDDNG ii .in in i Hi MlA Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Stanworth, who wore honored at a family dinner and open house at Hurricane Sunday on their fiftietn wedding anniversary. Couple Honored By Children at Open House " 4 Emanuel N. Stanworth and Ursel-la Ursel-la Ballard Stanworth, who have lived liv-ed In Cedar City for the past ten years, celebrated their golden wedding wed-ding anniversary Sunday, when they were feted by family and friends at the home of a son and daughter-in-law,' Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Stanworth in Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Stanworth wire both born In Grafton, Utah, and were married in the St. George L D S temple on April 26, 1898. They were the seventh family to settle In the town of Hurricane, when they moved there in 1906. One of the men wno pioneered the construction of the Hurricane canal, Mr Stanworth was an active leader in the development of farming farm-ing and cattle raising In the Hurricane Hurri-cane area. In 1938 he retired from farming and cattle-raising activities and he and Mrs. Stanworth moved to Cedar City where they have re- sided since. Sons and daughters who gathered gather-ed at Hurricane Sunday to honor their parents, were Ivan Stanworth of Cedar City, Delwln Stanworth of Las Vegas, Mrs. Gladys Kllenman of Toquervllle, Mrs. Roxy G if ford of Provo, and Mrs. Lamcna Lang-ford Lang-ford of Cedar City. Also present were ten grandchildren and one granddaughter. |
