Show Enters Seven Men In National Meet Coach Murray Maughan has entered en-tered seven members of the Branch Agricultural college track and field squad in the National Junior College Col-lege meet to be held at Phoenix Arizona, next Friday and Saturday. Satur-day. The men selected by Coach Maughan for the national meet are Dan Lindsay, who has swept aside all Jaycee competition in this region reg-ion In the high jump, hurdles, and who performed sensationally at the BYU meet Saturday; Bob Nowers who has won the pole vault in three meets this year; Eldon "Bunny"' Fullmer, sprinter; Dahl Oleave, discus dis-cus and shot put; Gordon Beck-strand, Beck-strand, 220 and 440 yard dashes; Darwin Woodbury, hurdles and pole vault, and Bob Peterson, 880-yard dash. Fullmer, Nowers, Lindsay and Beckstrand may also be entered in the 880-yard relay. The local school has been invited to the national meet the past two years, and each free the Broncos made an unusually fine showing. |
