The Jaycees have set Wednesday, May 5th, as the "Wind -up" of the campaign, Max Lunt, president of the group, announces, and It is hoped hop-ed that by night fall of that day there will not be an unclean lot In the entire city. Mr. Lunt states that this year no request Is made for closing of stores on cleanup day, but he does ask all business firms to furnish a truck i if they have one, and at least one I man to help with the clean-up. He ! asks that all men with trucks re-! port at the Junior high school at 8 a. m. Wednesday, ready to work. Junior high and high school boys will Join the crmpaign at that time. Theatre tickets will be presented boys who help with the campaign. The boys and the men should bring tools .with which to work, Including Includ-ing shovels and rakes, etc. Mr. Lunt asks that every property owner do everything possible to have the winter's accumulation of rubbish, rub-bish, leaves, etc, hauled off before May 8, since it Is entirely too big a Job for the Jaycees to attempt to haul It all away. However, this assistance will be rendered In cases where this cannot be done. All garbage gar-bage to be hauled off must be on the curb by 2 pjn. or It will not be picked up the Jaycee president reports. The city dump has been cleared In preparation for this drive, and It will be easy to dump garbage and rubbish at the area provided. No one should dump anything at any other spot, Mr. Lunt warns. |
