Show Communi'y Nursing Cupboard Planned Contributions toward a community commun-ity nursing cupboard was started this week when three w mien's clubs lu the city donated money for the purchase of supplies for the cupboard. All women's clubs will be contacted so that all might have the privilege of helping get supplies sup-plies for the cupboard. Mrs. F. W. Leigh and Mrs. Frank Van Cott have generously consented consen-ted to take care of the community cupboard when It ls assembled. Mrs. Leigh and Mrs. Van Cott will loan the articles and keep a record of people borrowing them, when they are needed In the homes. The project of the community cupboard is being sponsored by the District Nursing Council for War Service and ls being collected so that in any emergency nursing supplies sup-plies will be available for use in the homes. The project, although being sponsored as an emergency measure, will make available at all times necessary equipment for the sick room, and anyone In the community com-munity can use the materials. Details of the cupboard and loaning loan-ing of supplllcs have not yet been worked out, as much of the details depends upon the amount contributed contri-buted for the purchase of supplies. It ls hoped that such articles as crutches, bed pans, hotwater bottles, bot-tles, ice pack containers, a wheel chair and other articles can be placed in the collection. Although the cupboard will be collected through contributions of the women In the community, any group or individuals wishing to donate do-nate to the project may do so. Mrs. Qlen Froyd is chairman of the Nursing Council. |
