Show KANARKA Mr. and Mrs. Russell Call of Los Angeles were here for a short vls:t witli friends this week. Mr. Ca'l was a former school teacher here. . A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Perkins of Cane Beds, Ariz., at the Iron county hospital on July 19th. Mrs. Perkins was formerly Llllle Roundy of Kannrra.. Mr. and Mrs. Am L. Pollock have had as their guests three of their daughters: Mrs. Violet LaBasse and thlldren of California, Mrs. Cleora Bayles and son of Parowan, and Mrs. Mildred Ballard and daughters daugh-ters of Hurricane. Mrs. Eloda Newberger and son Dale and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Anderson An-derson and son Jackie are visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Berry. A farewell party was given this week In honor of JImmie Pollock who will leave for the army on July 28th. Jimm'e Is the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam L. Pollock to enter the nation's armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Webster and daughters of Callente. Nev., wero visiting here recently with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davis have received word that their son Leonard Leon-ard Is stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado. |
