Show LIONS HEAR TALK ON CHINESE CUSTOMS The members of the Lions Club who attended the regular Club meeting Monday enjoyed a most Interesting discussion of Chlru, given by Mrs. Harry Wooding, who was born in that country and lived there for a number of years. The speaker told of the customs of the people, their superstitions, principle religious beliefs, and of their culture. She stated that Chinese Chi-nese are accepting Christian religion reli-gion and other influences from the outside world at the present time more than at any time In the history his-tory of the country. Supplementing Supplement-ing her discussion the speaker displayed dis-played a number of works of art and pictures of various phases of Chinese life. The program was appropriately augmented by two piario solos, "The Rush. Hour In A Chinese Market," and a military march, played by Mrs. Virginia Larson, the citizenship and patriotism The program was arranged by committee with Dr. R. W. Farns-worth Farns-worth in charge. |
