Show Parowan Clubs Ask For Removal Of 1030 Head of Deer When the State Board of Big Game Control meets in Suit Lake City Saturday to consider recommendations recom-mendations for tlie removal of deer from Utah ranges through the annual an-nual deer hunt, It will have before lt a recommendation from Parowan Interests that 1050 head of deer be removed from tlie congested areas In that vicinity. A special committee commit-tee representing the Parowan Exchange Ex-change Club, the Parowan Gun and Rod Club and the Iron County Woolgrowers' Association, formulated formula-ted the proposal. The commitUH! recommends that 1050 head of deer be removed from the foothills surrounding Parowan valley from Summit to Eust Cottonwood Cot-tonwood by special hunt to be held following their regular hunt In October and before the deer start to go down in flesh. Under tlie recommendation rec-ommendation lt would be a permit hunt with pwmlts sold in the ar?a. Tlie game officials would determine at the time of the hunt how far back Into the hills the hunters would be allowed to go for the deer. The area would be divided into three sections with 350 head to be taken from each section. The sections sec-tions would be as follows: Section 1. That area lying between be-tween Summit and Parowan canyons; can-yons; Section 2. Tlie area between Parowan and Little Creek canyons, and Section 3, that area between Little Creek Canyon and Cottonwood. Cotton-wood. Deer of both sexes would be taken in all three areas and dates for the opening and closing of the hunt would be left to the Big Game Board. |
