In all other offices of-fices only one candidate from each party had filed for each Olfice. Three Republicans have filed for the position of County Attorney, necessitating a Primary Vote. Tliree Democrats Hied for the position pos-ition of County Commissioner, four-year term, and two Republican Republi-can filed lor the office of County Sheriff. The tliree candidates for County Attorney are, R. J. Shay, Incumbent, Incum-bent, of Cedar City; Durham Morris Mor-ris of Cedar City; and A. M. (Jim) Marsden of Parowan. Orvllle Isom, present City Attorney, Is the only Democratic candidate for County Attorney Po6t. County Commissioner Hugh L. Adams of Parowan has filed for re-election on the Republican ticket, tick-et, seeking election for a four-yeat term. He will be opposed in the e- lection by one of three Democrats who have filed for nomination, all from Parowan. The three Democratic Demo-cratic Candidates are Warren Pendleton, Herman Evan Bayles and W. Scott Mitchell. Pendleton and Bayles are farmers and livestock live-stock men, while Mitchell Is a Parowan Par-owan merchant. The other Primary contest will be between Preston Wood and J. C. , Little, both of Cedar City, who are , seeking the Republican nomination for County Sheriff. Wood is a .member of the Cedar City Police I force, a position he has held for several years, while Little Is a livestock live-stock dealer. County ShPriff S. C. Lamb is unopposed on the Democratic Demo-cratic ticket. L. N. Marsden, Jr., who was e-lected e-lected Iron County Representative to the State Legislature In )940, Is a Republican candidate for reelection, re-election, the only Republican to file for the office. Gronway R. Parry Is the only Democrat to enter the race. Both are from Cedar Ce-dar City. Mr. Marsden Is a merchant, mer-chant, wlille Parry is connected with the Utah Parks company and Is also engaged In farming. Samuel F. Leigh is a candidate for re-election to the office of County Commissioner, two-year term, on the Democratic ticket. He will be opposed by Charles R Hunter, Republican, former State Representative. No Democratic candidate has filed for the office of County Assessor As-sessor and Surveyor, and consequently conse-quently HUlman Dalley, Republican, Republi-can, who has held the office for twenty years, will be unopposed In the election as well as the primary. W. Clair Rowley and Clair Hulet, Republicans, are candidates for reelection re-election as County Clerk and County Coun-ty Treasurer, respectively. Rowley will be opposed by Rlcliard Benson Democrat, while Hulet's Democra tic opponent will be Karl O. Mitchell. Mitch-ell.
