Show St George Rotary President Speaker At Cedar Meeting Layron Andrus, president of ths St. George Rotary Club, was the speaker at the meeting of the Cedar Ce-dar City Rotary Club Tuesday. Mr. Andrus, who attended the Rotary International Convention in Toronto, Tor-onto, Canada, recently, gave a report re-port of the convention. The theme of the coventlon, he said, was "Learning to Live Together," To-gether," with emphasis placed upon up-on the opportunities offered by world conditions for Rotariaiu to wield an Influence upon world policies pol-icies and assist In formulating a lasting world peace when the war is over. It was pointed out. he said, what might be accomplished by building up good will and preventing prevent-ing the mistakes of previous year). Mr. Andrus also reported on a talk given at the convention by Paul Harris, founder of Rotary, in which Mr. Harris maintained that spiritual rebuilding Is the greatest need In the world today, and should replace the struggle for monetary gain. The program was In charge of the Club Service Committee with N. J. Barlow as chairman. Two guests were present, Dr. Jas. S. Prestwlch, and R. L. DeVore of Hutchinson, Kansas. |
