Show CHEYENNE, WYO. School of the Holy Child Jesus. (Special Correspondence.) A splendid literary and musical programme pro-gramme was rendered with great success suc-cess and the labors of both the Sisters and girls were amply rewarded by the appreciative audience which assembled in the convent hall Friday of last week. The characters which won the most applause ap-plause were Philip the hero, Lily bell his negro friend and Mme. Amsworth the artist's mother. However all did their parts well and richly deserved the thanks and congratulations which were showered upon them. The nature of the play was the cause of many tears, but the merriment caused by the mischievous Lilybel more than counterbalanced coun-terbalanced the sad parts. The musical selections were much enjoyed and the performers received great praise. Those who took part in the programme pro-gramme were Misses Viola. Dougherty, Helen Keefe, Gertrude Geddes, Mary- Ellis, Julia Brown. Ethel Warlaumont, Annette Keefe. Aileen Sullivan, Gertrude Ger-trude Knight, Sadie Lynch, Maria Lea-bey, Lea-bey, Elizabeth Thompson. Frances Adams. George Sullivan, Nellie Martin. Mar-tin. Ora Blake, Mary Walsh. Eolla Morse. The reports for the month of April were distributed last week. The following fol-lowing children secured lirst places in their respective classes: In the second grade, Master Ralph Herrod; in the third grade. Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth Doody; in the fourth grade, .Miss Mabel Knudson: in the fifth grade. Miss Margaret Coughlin; in the sixth grade. Miss Rose McCIoskey: in the .seventh grade. Miss Georgie Sullivan; in the eighth grade, Miss Ethel Warlaumont. War-laumont. Those who came out No. 1 in the high school classes were: in the first year. Miss Julia Brown; in the second, j Miss Lily McLaughlin; in the third. Miss Elizabeth Keefe; in the fourth year. Miss On Blake. During the month of May special devotion de-votion in honor of Our Lady are being held every evening in the Convent chapel. The children in the confirmation and communion classes go to the cathedral now three times a week for special instructions. |
