Show Park questions answered CEDAR CITY - In a very active meeting, the Industrial Park Committee last week answered several .questions of the Airport Committee concerning the purposed industrial park in Cedar City. The two committees went over the details of the industrial park, located next to the airport, with the airport group seemingly most concerned with the proposed land phasing of the park growth and the land involved in the phasing. Airport committee member Frank Nichols commented,"I thought it was an industrial park out by the airport, not the airport." However, after debating the question back and forth, the airport committee questions were satisfied by the answers the industrial group gave them. As Joe Melling, city manager and industrial park committee member, pointed out, "All of these concerns have been discussed and we've taken time to look at them." Another airport group member, Tom Cardon, stated, "I guess it's not anybody's fault but our own. We should have had some representatives here." McRay Cloward, industrial committee member was quick to point out that "there hasn't been one question that hasn't come up at least ten times in other park meetings," and added . that all the questions the airport committee asked were answered. Park Committee Chairman Paul Whetman commented as the meeting closed that "the contract is ready to be signed just as soon as they get the phasing changes included in the contract. |
