They are senior Joann Hargis, junior Colleen Johnson, sophomore Brantz Gentry, freshman Alice (Sam) Leonard and Art Bohman who was given special recognition. Hargis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hargis and a great supporter of all the teams at the high school "Her way of participating is by supporting various activities, an example we all could follow which is true Redmen spirit," said the award. Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Johnson. She served as costume mistress and assistant director of the recent musical presentation, "Oklahoma." She is also a junior representative for the drama club and friendly to everyone. Gentry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Gentry. He played sophomore football and is in student government, where he is always willing to help on many assignments. His musical ability adds to the band, jazz band and pep band, where he can play a number of different instruments. He is active in Leo Club and is an excellent student. Leonard is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bulloch. She is a member of Pep Club, FHA and yearbook. According to officials, she "gives up a lot of her spare time in helping people with school items. She supports all of the teams and clubs and is a true Redmen." Special recognition was awarded to Bohman for all the efforts he makes at taking pictures at all hours, all angles, off guard and in all places. He takes pictures at all the dances, sports events and drama productions He also does work with personal pictures, yearbook pictures and such and his work has made him "a long overdo recipient of the special Redmen Pride Award," said the officials. |
