Show NewCastle By NORMA Christensen Record Correspondent Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, in the New Castle Church for Robert Gordon Knell. Gordon has been in Salt Lake City for the past several months with his children, Mike Knell and Mrs. Kathy Smith, and died in a hospital there. Burial was in the Cedar City cemetary. A wedding reception was held in the evening of Dec. 12, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Israelsen who " were married Dec. 11 in the Salt Lake Temple. The bride is the former Julie Fuller, daughter of Dan Fuller and the late Marcia Fuller. This reception was a complete community affair, with different persons in charge of decorations, refreshments, wedding cake, and gowns. The hall was decorated on a Christmas theme and was very beautiful. The party was outstanding in every way and much appreciated by a radiant but motherless bride and her groom. A missionary farewell was held Sunday for Elder Leonard Hulet. Leonard will enter the mission home on Dec. 17, and will be serving in the Fresno California mission. Leonard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. , Norman Hulet. Family members visiting over the weekend were the other Hulet children, Rita Hulet from Salt Lake City; Kirk and Laura Fullmer from Circleville; Kathi Hulet from St. George; and Lee Hulet from Cedar City. Nita Raie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reber were here from Mesquite, Nevada; and also her brothers and sisters, Dr. and Mrs. Woody Woodruff and family from Las Vegas, Nevada; Mrs. Gwen Homer and family from Salt Lake; and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reber and family, also from Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clark were happy to have their children, Steve and Rosaland Roth and two little sons of Cedar City, here for the weekend. |
