Show 1 Naples Ada Openshaw Phone 789-3145 Resident returns to Naples area Elva Manwaring returned home Thursday evening after spending the past three weeks in Canada and California. She was met at the Salt Lake Airport Wednesday afternoon by her daughter Carol Southam, then they went to Provo to spend the night so they could attend the wedding of Mrs. Manwaring's grandson, Michael Manwaring and Juanna Miranda on Thursday morning in the Provo Temple. Visiting at the Delia Wooley home Tuesday were Nila Jean Eldredge and family of Salt Lake City. They brought six year old Leslie to spend two weeks here with his grandmother Wooley while Nila Jean and daughter Gina go to Japan on a concert tour with a group of musicians from the Salt Lake Area. Also visiting at the Wooley home were her sister Fontella Taylor and Scott Hartle of Lapoint. Timothy Novinger of Fruita, Colorado Col-orado spent last week with his grandparents, grand-parents, Glen and Toni Reynolds and Fred. He returned Friday evening with his father, Frank Novinger, who is employed here. Frank spent the weekend with his wife and family. Charles and Hazel Olsen and their four grandsons, David, Greg, Eric and Jason Olsen arrived home from a vacation trip to Baytown, Texas Monday Mon-day night. They were accompanied home by the Olsen's two granddaughters, grand-daughters, Jael and Rachel Olsen of Baytown. The girls will spend the month here with their grandparents. Gawin and Phyllis Goodrich of Tucson, Tuc-son, Arizona arrived Thursday night to spend a few days with their daughter and son-in-law, Reid and Robyn Merrell and family. They also visited Gawin's sister and husband Vergie and Ray Gee, and attended Gawin's Class Reunion while here. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burghardt and three children of Orem visited with his sister Ken and Ann Reynolds and family on Friday. Mrs. Bruce (Connie) Cook and family fami-ly are spending a month in San Bernardino, Ber-nardino, California with her mother. George and Irma Enos of Liver-more, Liver-more, California came to attend the funeral of Irma's mother, Ina Olivers. They left Tuesday morning to return to their home. Glen, Kirk and Fred Reynolds were in Salt Lake City and Provo last weekend. Sandy Larsen returned with them" to her home in Salt Lake City after spending two weeks with Ann and Ken Reynolds and family. On Sunday Sun-day the Reynolds attended the mission report of one of Kirk's missionary companions in Provo. On Friday morning 43 young people and their leaders boarded the Wilkins bus to go to Salt Lake City and Lagoon for a super-activity day. They returned return-ed home early Saturday morning tired but all expressed themselves as having hav-ing a great time. Kara and Rita Needles of Roosevelt spent Thursday night at the home of their grandparents, Ken and Sheila Lind. Richard Ingram and Mike Haslem spend last week in Denver for training regarding their employment. They returned home Friday night. Norman and Janna Haslem and Glenn and Ada Openshaw made a trip to Provo last Monday to get the Haslem's son Brad who has spend the week there with Ken and Caryl Ann Seastrand. Mrs. Elva Manwaring accompanied Bernard and Lucille Winkler of Bluebell to Provo Sunday where they attended the Mission Testimonial of their brother and siser-in-law La Voir and Voneal Merrell who will enter the MTC this week prior to seving an LDS mission in London, England, Mrs. Merrell and the Winklers returned home Sunday evening. Bob and Sybil Luck of American Fork were visitors at the Dell and Hazel Goodrich home Saturday. Bob and Sybil are former residents of this area, building and living in the home now used as the Naples City office. Kenneth and Ora Moon and daughters Karla and Laura of Salt Lake City spent four days last week with Ora's parents, Ralph and Nellis Southam. |
