Show 1933 class holds 50th year reunion Thirty-one members of the Uintah High School Class of 1933, many with their spouses, met July 8 and 9 in Vernal Ver-nal for their 50th class reunion. The evening of July 8 a picnic supper sup-per was held at the Colton Pavillion. On July 9 a breakfast was held at the Diamond Hills Cafe with Ray Nash master of ceremonies. Then the members were given a special tour of the Deseret Power Plant. From there all joined at the home of Paul and Isobel Batty for a fascinating viewing of Isobel's doll collection. Saturday evening the activities were culminated in a banquet at the Lamplighter with Ray Nash, master of ceremonies. Denise Angelo sang a medley of songs with Ruth Walker as accompanist. The "Apple Blossoms" sang some old-time tunes. Members traveled from Oregon, New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho and various places in Utah to join their classmates. Those assisting in the reunion plans were: Jay Searle, chairman, Bea Anderson, secretary, Clara Hall, Paul Batty, Ray Nash, Enid Cook, Ruby McCarrell, Lorna Squires, Ken Oaks, Morris Vernon, Howard Williams, Leo Hacking, and Marvin Jackson. |
