Show Car smashes guardrail, injures Roosevelt woman Pamela Stanley, 16, of Roosevelt, was injured in an automobile accident about 7 miles west of Vernal on Highway 40 Friday night. The car, driven by Frank E. Har-dinger, Har-dinger, 18, of Roosevelt, was traveling at a high rate of speed when the right two tires left the road. As the vehicle came back onto the highway, it crashed crash-ed into the guardrail, snapping the guardrail in two. Red Pine Ambulance Service was summoned to the scene, where they treated and stabilized Miss Stanley before they transported her to Ashley Valley Medical Center. She was treated in the emergency room for a head laceration, minor injuries and released. Hardinger was uninjured. Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Olsen, who investigated the accident said neither of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.
