Show BRONCO SHOCK WEBER Weber State had a 13-point 13-point advantage with 7:11 left to play, but Boise State erased the Wildcat lead with a 76 to 75 victory Friday in Idaho. Boise senior Eric Bailey collected 14 of his team high 16 points in e second half and swished a 22 footer deep in the corner with two seconds left to lift the Broncos to a one point victory. Boise State appeared to be dead in the world of basketball when Weber's Todd Harper cashed in on a pair of free throws following a technical foul to give the Wildcats a 67 to 54 lead at the 7: 11 mark in the second half. Sophomore guard Vince Hinchen sliced the Weber lead to two points at 71-9 on a tip-in with 2:33 to play. Weber's Harper, who scored 24 points, extended the Wildcat's lead to 73-69 with two free throws, but the Broncos' Bruce Bolden connected on free throw and Tvroct Scott popped in a n fa to pull Boise within point at 73-72. Dom, Eilertson put in a pair 4 foul shots to give Weber 75-72 lead. Bailey co nected on a 17 footer win 38 seconds left to pull th Broncos back to wjthij one at 75-74. Weber State's Dave Weber tried to throw a long pass dowj court with 21 seconds left and Boise's Hinchen stole the ball. |
