Show LEFTOVERS Have some leftover ham that can be sliced? Serve it along with Fiesta Corn Pudding, made by-first by-first scalding one and one-half cups of milk, then adding two tablespoons butter. Beat three eggs in a one and one-half quart casserole; stir in milk-butter, one and one-half cups (12 oz. can) drained whole kernel corn with red and green pepper, one-third cup chopped onion and one teaspoon each sugar and salt. Bake in a pan of hot water in a preheated 350 deg. oven, 40-45 minutes. Let stand ten minutes before serving. (6 servings.) Cooked cabbage or lima beans will be delicious with garlic butter: add one-fourth teaspoon garlic powder to one-fourth cup (M stick) butter, melted; mix with cooked vegetables. If you shred one-half pound of hard or semihard semi-hard natural cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, Colby, Provolone, etc.) you'll have two cups. You can keep shredded cheese in a sealed plastic bag in your freezer to use for sprinkling on pizzas, casseroles, vegetables, salads or soups at a moment's notice. |
