Uintah's Troy Thomas, SW. pinned Tat Dunsten with 23 seeomls left in the first round to give the I'tes a 6 0 lead. David Webb, I'intah, 105, grabbed a 6-0 lead in the first round due to a takedown and two near falls, but Jeff peav rallied for a victory when he pinned' pinn-ed' Webb with 1:30 left in the second round to tie up the meet at 6 6. Orem acquired a 9-6 lead when Hal Thacker, 112, nipped Uintah's Leslie Gorman, 5-4. Gorman had a 3-2 lead after one round, but Thacker grabbed a 5-3 advantage in the second round. Gorman Gor-man gained an escape in the third round. Seymore Bedonie, 119, delivered a 12 to 9 lead to Uintah when he pinned Kyle Carter with 25 seconds left in the third round and then Uintah won four matches mat-ches in a row for a 33-9 lead. Kary McNeill, 126, bombed Trent Ricks, 19-0. McNeill collected six near (alls in ihe match. Brad Dickson, 132, pinned Orein's Dana Shirtliff with 1:44 left in the third round and Chad Bedell, 138, added another fall to Uintah's pin collection when he flattened Scott Taylor with 1:15 left in the third round. Bucky Tingey, 145, thumped Mark Willis, 13 to 5 and Orem broke Uintah's winning streak when Greg Clark, 155, edged Jamie Evans, 13 7. Uintah's Jerry Haslein, 167, bombed Dan Cohen, 12 to 1 and Scott Gardner pinned Dave Ost with 12 seconds left in the first round. Bob Lee, Uintah heavyweight, won his match due to a forfeit. Uintah won four out of five exhibition matches. Mark Augustus pinned his opponent op-ponent with seven seconds left in the one minute first round and Larson Caldwell pinned his matman with 1:19 left in the second round. Layne Chapman Chap-man pocketed a 13-5 win and Uintah's Danny Anderson was pinned in the second se-cond round. Uintah's Rod Gilmore won his match, 9-1. |
