Show Cats down Morgan The Union Cougars are tied for first place with the Lehi Pioneers in Region Nine at 2-0 and the Cats pocketed their second region victory of the year when they toppled Morgan in Roosevelt Friday 63 to 58. Union had a seven point lead of 19 to 12 after one quarter and was ahead by 14 points, 36 to 22, after two quarters. The Cats owned a nine point lead of 49-40 49-40 at the end of the third quarter. Cory Dye was the number one point obtainer with 15 points. Dye put in seven field goals and connected on 1 out j of 4 free throws. Dean Townsend pumped in 13 points and Lonnie Sammaripa fired in 12 counters. Greg Bellon scored nine points and Brian Snow tossed in six points. Lynn Johnson scored five points and James White popped in three counters. Union tossed in 26 field goals and hit 11 out of 21 free throws. |
