Show 'Fact Sheet' Dear Editor; I would like to express my thanks to Larry Hacking for his statement and public apology in your paper last week. As a member of the Uintah Water Conservency District I accept Larrys apology for the Fact Sheet that was presented by the A.V.W.S.I.D. to the C.U.W.C.D. on January 11, 1982, during the hearing at the Uintah County Building. Since that time I have obtained obtain-ed a copy of that Fact Sheet, and after studing it, I have come to the conclusion it is only a slander sheet. There has been a long friendship and working relationship between my family fami-ly and the Fletcher family. My grandfather grand-father Albert Snow and Lee Fletcher had livestock operations on Blue Mountain. Moun-tain. Then there was my father Newell and Martin Fletcher, and I held Martin Fletcher as one of my personal friends. Norman Fletcher was Ag Club President Presi-dent when I was initiated into that Club. I supported him when he was sheriff of this county. Now it hurts me and I do not understand how he can stoop so low-as low-as to present this unsigned, undated slander sheet to the C.U.W.C.D. during the hearing. I feel Norman Fletcher manager of the A.V.W.S.I.D. owes a public apology to the U.W.C.D. Board and employees. I sincerely hope he is man enough and has the guts to do just that. I do not know who is the author of this so called Fact Sheet, because it is not signed. I do not blame him or her for not signing it, as I would not sign such a slanderous statement as are contained in that so called Fact Sheet. I would like any names of Board member of A.V.W.S.I.D. that did not know that the Fact sheet was being presented. Any board member that did, in my opinion owes an apology.
