The Stewarts have just returned from a mission in the Fresno, Calif, mission and related many of their , varied and interesting experiences. Their son Perk and Erma's mother Mrs. Morrill accompanied them to Jensea Erma is Bishop Lyn Morrill's sister, Mrs. Morrill his mother. A number of Jensen people attended the Historical Society meeting Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Golden Age Center. Some old movie pictures of Vernal in 1939 were shown. The beautiful crocheted lace tablecloth that has graced the Relief Society table for so many years, disappeared several months ago. In spite of many efforts to track it down, it is still missing. Do you know its where abouts? Let anyone in the Relief Society know. They'd be glad to bring it home. Various neighbors are attending the Denver Livestock Show. Drew Christiansen is now a full fledged oil distributing businessman. He and Garold Luck, partners, opened Dinaland Oil at 547 S. 1500 E. They distribute oil products to industrial and commercial businesses in the Vernal and nearby areas. After nearly a week of sub-zero weather, we are all basking in the springlike sun of the last few days. Snow melting, water running, tire slushing, stock leisurely lying around chewing their cud, birds twittering, geese honking. Isn't it good to be living right here! David and Shauna Pipher are rejoicing the arrival of their first child, Ashley Brook. The little daughter weighed in at 8 lbs. on Jan. 12 at the Ashley Valley Medical Center to celebrate her daddy's birthday. Proud grandparents are Leon and Bonnie Moon and great-grandparents are Deon and Theobe Moon, all of Vernal. The Moons are also rejoicing the arrival of another granddaughter born to Russel and Patti Anderson just a week before the Pipher baby. |
