Show Voit Roper dies in Orem Jan. 10 Voit James Roper, HZ, fw mT Vernal resident, now of Oicin, died of heart failure in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Monday, Jan. HI, V.WVL Funeral services will be In-ld Friday, Jan. 22 at the LDS Orem Kilh Ward chapel, 4lh Fast (lib South at 12 noon. Mr. Roper was bom Dec. 9, l!llt) in Vernal to Ross F.dwin and Lucy Jones Roper. He married Iteva Men ell Aug. 20, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. He received his education in Vernal schools and a bachelors arid masters degree at BVU. He taught English at Uintah High School for five years arid in the Provo District schools for 25 years. Mr. Roper is survived by his v. ife and five childr en, Delwyn, Murray; Klltay, Raleigh, N.C.; Teryl, Sandy; Valerie and Bryce, Orem. Six brothers: Oather, Bernard, Provo; Morris,; Darson, Salt Lake City; Von, Ogden and Marvel, Longmont, Colo.; one sister Mrs. Hud (Amy) Cool, Vernal. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21 at the Sundb'-rg-Olpin Mortuary in Orem and at the church Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Orem City cemetery. |
