' fi ' r f .... 1 MIKE SULLIVAN, new Lion's Lieutenant District Governor Mike Sullivan elected to Lions office A local man, Mike Sullivan, ' was " elected Lieutenant District Governor at " the recently concluded Lions' State Convention held in Logan. ( Mike Sullivan, manager of Day's Thriftway, was elected to the post of Lieutenant District Governor over District 28-T for the Lions' Clubs of Utah. District 28-T covers everything in the state of Utah from Provo south, and everything from the borders on the west to the borders on the east. This area covers 57 Lions' Clubs with about 2,000 members. Mike is second in command to Glendale Larson from Moroni who was elected District Governor. The Vernal Club is very appreciative of the following merchants for their donations of gifts and food for Mike's hospitality room at the convention: Ashton Brothers, Day's Thriftway, Vernal Drug, Coca Cola, Birrell Bottling, Bot-tling, and the Nabisco Co. Glade Watkins, president of the Vernal Club, reports that Friday morning at the Convention the Vernal Lions' Club was awarded the coveted D.A. Skeen Award for having one of the four best community projects in the state. The club's award was for the on-, on-, going project at the Remember the Maine Park. |
