Show Final population count j told by Census Bureau The final population and housing unit I counts for Utah has been issued by the : U.S. Bureau of Census in an advance I report. The final population count for Uintah i County as of April I, 1980 was 20,506. i This figure represents an increase of 61.7 percent from the 1970 census. The housing count shows 6,621 units for a J 78.3 percent increase. The population figures lists Vernal City with 6,600 persons and 2,406 housing units. Ballard Town has 558 ; persons and 165 housing units. The : Vernal division has a 1980 population of : 16,168 and 5,324 housing units. Uintah and Ouray division is listed with 4,338 persons and 1,297 housing units. Uintah County is listed with the following race breakdown: white, 18,319; black, 6; American Indian, Eskimo and Aleu, 1,952; Asian, and Pacific Islander, 47; other, 182; Spanish origin, 565. The 1980 census figures list Daggett County with 769 persons, 15.5 percent over 1970 and 737 housing units, 140.8 percent" over 1970. The East Daggett division has 221, West division, 548 and Manila Town, 272. Duchesne County population for 1980 is 12,565 for a 72.1 percent increase over 1970 and 4,478 housing units for a 90.7 percent increase. Breakdown in the Duchesne County population is: Duchesne division, 2,829; Duchesne City, 1,677; Tabiona Town, 152; North Duchesne division, 10; Roosevelt division, 9,714; Altamont Town, 247; Myton City, 500; Roosevelt City, 3,842; and South Duchesne division, 12. |
