Show Three elected to Ute Tribe Council Three members were elected to the Ute Indian Tribe Council Business Committee Friday on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation in Ft. Duchesne. Elected to serve two year terms on the six member council were Homey Secakuku, 53, Ft. Duchesne, representing represen-ting the Uintah band, incumbent Ruby ' Black, 46, Whiterocks, representing the White River band, and Stewart Pike, 38, Myton, representing the Un-compahgre Un-compahgre band Incumbent Ouray McCook, Sr. of the Uncompahgre band, was defeated in the primary election, leaving six candidates can-didates in the general election. 420 votes were cast in the election. A council chairman will be elected by the council. |
