Show Dutch John JuneSchaffran I Phone 885-3728 J Son born to the Gary Schaffrans Mr. and Mrs. Gary Schaffran announced an-nounced the birth of their new son, born March 4, 1980. Baby Schaffran weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces and measured 21 inches long. C.R.S.P. will be holding their annual St. Patrick's Day Dance Saturday, March 15 at 9 p.m. The dance will be held at the U.S.B.R. conference hail. Admission will be charged. Everyone is asked to bring a snack. The Earl Reary Band will be featured. Dutch John wrestlers participated in the free style wrestling tournament held in Duchesne Saturday, March 8, at the Duchesne High School. Brant Meinrod took gold medal honors in the junior 70 pound weight class, Andy Meinrod took a bronze medal in the intermediate 105 pound weight class and Troy Gale took a bronze medal in the intermediate 148 pound weight class. All three boys placed to go to the Vernal Tournament on March 29. Kevin Nicotera took a silver medal in the midget 80 pound weight class in Roosevelt the prior week, this also placing to go to the Vernal Tournament. Tour-nament. Ceramic classes are still bein held every Tuesday and Thursday night at the Flaming Gorge School. Annie Yates and daughter Carlie spent the last week in Nephi, Utah visiting Annie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Carter. Ladies pinocle was held Monday evening March 10. Hostesses for the evening were Wanda Collect and Cheryl Collett. The evenings high scorer was Rena Paleson with 4060, low scorer was Oonnetta Collett with -290, and traveling went to Judi Harris. |
