Show " FUNERAL HELD FOR FATHER OF SPRINGVILLE WOMAN Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, in the Provo First Ward for Samuel Allman, 64, well-known mining engineer of the Tintic mining district, who died Tuesday in a San Diego, Calif., hospital following a two year's illness. Mr. Allman was born Oct. 12, 1883 in Provo, a son of Thomas and Elmira Phillips Allman. He received his education in the Provo city schools. After spending his early life in Provo, he moved to Mammoth where he worked as a mining engineer for the Grand Central mine for 15 years and the same number of years at the Mammoth mine. He married Elizabeth Hoch-strasser Hoch-strasser Dec. 24, 1910, in Logan. They later received their endowments endow-ments in the Manti temple. They have resided in San Diego for the past four years. Survivors include his widow, six sons and two daughters: T. Noel Allman, R. Neldon Allman, D. Errol Allman and Mrs. Don Bradley Brad-ley of San Diego; W. Blaine All-man All-man of Gardina, Calif., Verl P. Allman, Provo; Samuel Allman Jr. of Eureka, and Mrs. Eldon L. Reese, Springville, and one sister, Mrs. Jesse Brown, Provo. An older brother, Thomas M. Allman of Provo passed away three days previous to Mr. Allman. |
