Show FUNERAL HELD ON WED. FOR FRANK METCALF llcTs In Third Ward For Former City Marshall Who Died Monday relatives and friends paid final tributes of respect to the life, of Frank .Metcalf, 60, at funeral services 'conducted m the S ward chapel, Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Metcalf died early Monday, at the family residence, following a long illness. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under direction of A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. He was born in Springville, Dec. 18 1888, the son of Levy Gregory and Margaret Llewellyn Metcalf. He married Ivy Crandall, Jan 18, 1911 in the Salt Lake temple. Mr Metcalf engaged in mining, construction work and farming and served as city marshal for seven years. He was an elder in the LDS church and was active m the Third ward. Surviving are the widow, his mother, both of Springville; and the following children, Lyman C. and Milan G. Metcalf, both of San Fernando, Cal.; Robert L. Metcalf, Cleveland, Ohio; G. Wel-by Wel-by Metcalf; Mrs. Freeman Bird, Mrs. Russen Bird, Mrs. Harry Alleman, and Miss Marilyn Metcalf, Met-calf, all of Springville; and Mrs. Malcolm Condie, Logan, also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Blake D. Palfreyman, Mrs. Hilton A. Robertson and Earl Metcalf, Met-calf, all of Provo; Bert Metcalf, Cambridge, Ida.; Mrs. May Gud-mundsen, Gud-mundsen, Redland, Cal., and 19 grandchildren. |
