Show s Care of Wet Shoes Stuffing wet shoes with paper or absorbent cloth will help to dry them and maintain their shape. ; Dry them slowly away from heat. I Saddle soap will help to put the j shoes back into condition. After j ! saddle-soaping them, rub in a lit-I lit-I tls sulfonated castor oil. It helps to soften the leather. Use only as much as the leather will absorb, however, or the shoes will be difficult dif-ficult to polish. One or two coats of polish then are required to bring back the shoes' old luster. |
