Show Parents Will Go To School Next Wednesday, Jan. 28 Springville high school will continue the Parents' day begun be-gun last year next Wednesday, January 28 when all students will stay home to wash, iron, tend baby or whatever is normally nor-mally done on that day, but their classes will go on just the same at half-time schedule, but with the papas and mamas as students. At noon, all parents will be invited to invest 25c in the school fund and find out what 500 of their children eat each noon. In the afternoon, the teachers will be in their classrooms with the newly marked report cards, and the parents will file in for private interviews in which parent and teacher will attempt to explain Johnny's 'D" without with-out hurting the feelings of each other, or they will decide whether parent or teacher is responsible for Mary deserving an "A". According to Principal Paul K. Walker, a system will be worked out so that students will be marked present only if their parents are present or send in a legitimate excuse.. There has been a rumor on the high school grapevine that teachers are going to give test exercises to the parents and record the results. All parents are expected to be in attendance. attend-ance. An assembly at 1:30 p.m., will conclude the day's program. pro-gram. Arrangements for the day are being directed by Mrs. Russell Childs, P.T.A. president. |
