Show Concerning The Garbage Problem . . . 4 By GLEN TIPTON, Councilman In last weeks paper there was published an article about Springville Spring-ville City and its Garbage problems. prob-lems. The Springville City Council ask for suggestions from the citizens of Springville regarding this problem. To date the Council has had several inquiries and suggestions regarding our method of collection of garbage and the method of paying pay-ing for this service. i, They like the city method ofj collection, but it has been suggested sug-gested that every family in the limits of Springville City be assessed as-sessed so much each month and have it applied to your electric light bill. In' this way it would make it a city wide project. This would cut down Springville City's expense in keeping our city dump in better condition and under un-der better control by having one truck disposing of garbage , instead in-stead of every one running out with their garbage, dumping it at random, which requires City equipment to go out once a week to clean up the piles of garbage out of the roadways, etc., and to put it out over the dump. Let's, the Citizens of Springville, Spring-ville, join in this project wholeheartedly whole-heartedly and make it City Wide to continue making Springville the cleanest and healthiest spot to live in Utah or the West. |
