Show Mapleton Sets D.S.A. Banquet-Program Mapleton Jaycees will sponsor the annual Distinguished Distin-guished Service Award banquet next Wednesday evening, January 2$, when the outstanding young man of that citv will be announced and presented with the award. The banquet will "be held at the Mapleton amusement hall, beginning begin-ning at 8 p. m., and the public is invited to attend. It is further pointed out that everyone in the city should be interested in the event, as the award does not have to go to a Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce member. Reservations should be made by Monday, January Janu-ary 26. Mayor Gillman of Orem will be the guest speaker of the evening, telling of the accomplishments of the young men's organization. Fred Jensen is chairman of ar-rangments ar-rangments for the evening, and Ross Hall will be introduced by President Jack Canto of the Mapleton Ma-pleton club, as toastmaster. Frank Carnesecca, who received the award last year, together with Mayor Burton Tew and Faye Jensen, Jen-sen, have acted as the committee to seleot the D. S. A. winner. Another event which will attract at-tract the interest of Jaycees will be presentation of two key-men awards which will go to men in the Jaycee organization who have an exceptional record of activities the past year. |
