Show HONOR CERTIFICATE AWARDED FOR j PUBLICITY RELEASES I In tribute to the part played by j the Springville Herald in contributing con-tributing to the success of Utah's Centennial celebration, an official Centennial Certificate of Honor has been awarded to Harrison Con-over Con-over by the Utah Centennial Commission. Com-mission. The certificate, signed by Herbert B. Maw, as governor, and President David O. McKay, of the LDS church, as chairman of the Centennial Comission, makes a fine souvenir of Utah's 100th year. Presentation was made this week by Stephen J, Maloney, publicity manager for the late Centennial. It is one of only about four hundred hun-dred issued in the state, and praises prais-es the work done in behalf of the success of the Centennial. "It may .be trjte, but it is also true, to say that without the work done by the Springville Herald and the other newspapers of the state the great success of the Centennial Cen-tennial celebration would not have been possible, said the publicity manager. The Centennial was not just a show, it was a joining together to-gether of all citizens of the state, no matter what race, creed or political poli-tical belief, to pay tribute to our state's founders, he pointed out. |
