One of the important im-portant affairs of the week was the pioneer pio-neer dinner and entertainment given for their members by the Daughters of the Pioneers at their new relic hall, Thursday Thurs-day of last week. A hoc dinner, with pioneer dishes and other good things, was a treat which all enjoyed. Covers were laid for more than fifty guests. The table and rooms were attractively decorated with goldenglow and dahlias. Dinner was served at 1:30 p. m., after which an entertaining program was rendered. ren-dered. The officers and members were dressed In pioneer costumes. Late in the afternoon light refreshments were served. At the meeting a committee was appointed appoint-ed to make a miniature Fort Richmond as it appeared in the early days, locating each house and place of interest. The fort wrill be kept as a relic in the association associa-tion room. The committee in charge of the work comprises Mrs. H. A. Adamson, chairman ; Mrs. Maria Barr, Mrs. George Doty, Mrs. Joseph Peart, Hyrum Bair, Frank Bair and Bud Johnson. The officers of the Young Ladies' Mutual Mu-tual Improvement association of the South ward entertained the members with I a watermelon feast at the home of Mrs. J. R. Thomson, Thursday evening.
