Eccles entertained at a dancing party at thir home Saturday Satur-day evening of last week. The house was decorated throughout with pink gladioli and ferns. Punch was served during the evening in the ballroom. Mr. and Mrs. Eccles were assisted by Mjs. Marion Banks. Mrs. David Eccles, Mrs. Ralph Bristol and Mrs. Joseph Scowcroft, Jr. Little Bertha and Myrtle Louise Eccles received the guests at the door. Wattis home, when eighty guests were entertained enter-tained in compliment to Carlyle Murphy, who left Tuesday for St. Mary's college, Oakland, Cal., after spending his . vacation vaca-tion in Ogden. Asters and roses were used as decorations throughout the house. Varicolored lights illuminated the lawn, where refreshments were served. Punch was served in the dining room. Miss Mary Matson, Miss Bonita Scowcroft, Miss Bertha Ber-tha Eccles. Miss Louise Eccles. Miss Virginia Vir-ginia Scowcroft and Miss Dorothy Scowcroft Scow-croft assisted in serving. Mr. Wattis was assisted in entertaining the guests by his mother. Mrs. E. O. Wattis, and Roscoe C. Gwilliam. A simple home wedding of Wednsdav evening was that of Miss Eva E. Brown and W. Rao Hobson, which took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris J. Brown. Only the members of the immediate families witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by Bishop James W. L're. A color scheme in green and white was carried out with white roses, asters and lilies combined wrth ferns. Following the ceremony a dinner was served, a crystal basket of bride roses forming the centerpiece for the table. Mr. and Mrs. Hobson will make their home in Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Eccles. who will leave the middle of the month to make their home in Los Angeles, were the complimented com-plimented guests at an informal dancing party given Thursday evening at their home, when thirty-five couples were entertained. en-tertained. Late in the evening supper was served in the garden. An informal dinner party was given Thursday evening by Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Kimball at their home, in honor of Mr. Kimball's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Kimball, of Chicago, who are visiting in this city. Fail flowers decorated the table. Covers were laid for ten. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bristol entertained at dinner Thursday evening at the Country Coun-try club in honor of their guest, Captain Hill, of San Francisco.
