Show IlSIlDi SHIK LARGE Developments Prove Continuity Con-tinuity of Ore Body; Stoping Increased. Visitors to the underground workings of the Tlntlc Standard declare that the mine never looked better and that at no time In Its history was there such a larse amount of h'.ga-grade ore exposed, according ac-cording to the Eureka Reporter. The new discovery, mentioned in these columns col-umns some weeks ago, Is a continuation of the immense ore body from which the mine has been shipping so heavily for the past lew years, and, while the strike Is hardly as important as It would have been had an entirely new ore deposit been encountered. It nevertheless proves the continuity of the ore and adds some hundreds hun-dreds of feet to the stoping ground. ore of an excellent grade is now coming com-ing from half a dozen different sections of the mine, and there is a general understanding under-standing among the mine employees that a much greater tonnage will be expected following the completion of the new railroad; rail-road; in fact, it is barely possible that the mine will double its output. About the time the campaign of work is well under way in the south end of the Tlntlc Standard, where an old shaft has been enlarged and retimbered, the management will, no doubt, select a site for another new shaft over which will be installed larger and better machinery than anv now in use in Tlntlc. While it is a little early to talk about this new outlet for the mine's ore, the shaft will probably be some distance toward the northeast of the main workings. During the past few weeks good progress prog-ress has been made with the railroad construction con-struction work, and by the middle of October the Tlntlc Standard's ore should he moving to the smelter over this new line. |
