Our fighting forces have already taken almost four billion dollars of insurance, but this is only a beginning, because at least, three-quarters of a million men have not' vet availed themselves of the opportunity. Since most men now in service must apply for insurance before lebruary 12, 1918, prompt, action is imperative. Unless, therefore, every influence influ-ence is brought to bear upon the men, many will forfeit the benefits ot the insurance. What is needed now above all else is vigorous public co-operation to speed up applications before February 12. .All enhstod men, commissioned com-missioned officers and members of the armv and navy nurse corps owe it. to themselves and their dependents to take the full $10,000 of insurance insur-ance and to take it -now. Everv person -with a relative or friend in any branch of the service should communicate with him and see that this insurance is taken out immediately. If desired, arrangements can be made by which someone other than' the soldier can pay tho premium, but the insurance must be taken out before February 12 to obtain the full advantage of the law. |
