GIANTS KEEP THEIR SALARY RATE HIGH This is the first time iu years that the New York National league club has had to send out new contracts to practically all players. In the past contracts were generally for long terms or the players had documents holding over when they became Giants. Tho rapidity with which players have signed indicates that the management of the Giants is offering liberal terms. The average of salary paid on the New York club is said to be well above $5000 and few. if any, of the players will receive much les-'s than that, except, of course, some of the recruits.
