Aw ff'v " 1 JO Ehibuque instructor to Take Up Episcopal Duties at Boise. THE Rt. Rev. Daniel II. Gorman, who was appointed bishop of Idaho, following the death of the late A. J. Glorleux, is expected to assume tho active duties of his diocese at Boise within the next two weeks. Bishop Gorman was born in Wyoming, Iowa, and was ordained priest in 18SJ3. A lover of work, the newlv ordained priest found in his first pastorate, at State Center, Iowa, an opportunity for tiie exercise of his apostolic zeal. He was later transferred to Dubuque college, Iowa, to become instructor of Latin and chief disciplinarian. As a professor he Is said to have been a friend of the students and aft a disciplinarian sought alwavs their highest welfare. He later became president of the college.
