Show 124 ALIEN SOLDIERS OUT OF THE SERVICE Men Discharged' on Order of the Adjutant Adju-tant General Are Now at Camp Cody, N. M. DEM1XG, X. M., Feb. 2. One hundred hun-dred and twenty-four alien soldiers of the Thirty-fourth national guard division, di-vision, comprising former national guardsmen of Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska, were ordered discharged from the army today ''for gooil of the service." The action was taken on instructions from the adjutant general at Washington. Washing-ton. The men, who woro members of sixteen orcanizations in the division, which is in training at Gamp Cody, near here, will not be interned, but wili be given travel pay and allowances and permitted to proceed to their homes. They will not be recommended for ro-enlistment, ro-enlistment, however. This action follows the discharge yesterday of seven Austrians and one German, who were ordered held for civil officers as enemy aliens. The eight men discharged yesterday were alleged to have made statements dis-loval dis-loval to the United States. |
