Show yTOVALL DECIDES ON MEN FOR FIRST TRIP Special to The Tribune. LOS AXGKLES, March 28. Stovall and his Vernon Tigers are ready so ready, in fact, that the. firebrand has decided to call enough on the long and arduous training stunta that have been the rule lately. Starting today, the Bengals will put in a couple of hours per day in light work , and that will be all. The Vernon club, twenty strong, will leave for Taft Saturday night. The schedule calls for a game with the Taft club Kundav, following which Stovall will lead his charges to San Francisco. The Tigers will work out on the San Francisco lot Monday. The players who will make the initial trip are as follows: Catchers Mitze, Simons, Sullivan; pitchers From me, Quinn, Johnson, Decanniere, Mitchell, Arrellanes, Valencia; in fielders Stovall, M. -Larry, Callahan, Galloway, Conifrcy, Griggs; outfielders Daley, Mattick, Doane and Snyder. Stovall intends to use either Johnson. Quinn or Decanniere in the opening battle with the Seals. Trainer "Shine" Scott is the only other member of the official party to journey north. |
