The Mauretania was last reported as servi as a transport. A dispatch from Berlin yesterday said that ten steamers witli provisions and ammunition were overdue at Saloniki. It was sugsrested in some quarters that the Mauretania may have been in the supply service in the Mediterranean and mav iia.ve fallen victim to a U-boat. The Aquitania is of 4.;.64r. gross tons and the Mauretania of 30.450. |
