Show U. OF U. REGISTRATION CONTINUES HEAVY Classes in Post-graduate Department Will Be Unusually Large. Heavy registration continued at the university yesterday, but showed a slight decrease from that of tbe opening open-ing day. This being the last of the days specially set .aside for registration, it is esDe'cted that the enrollment will bring the attendance up to that of last year, according to Elbert Thomas. A gratifying number of students have arranged 'to take the post-graduate work, says Professor J. T. Kingsbury, who will have charge of that department depart-ment this year. Most of the students have entered the School of Mines, he says. One of the number is a soldier who is working toward a master's degree. de-gree. Several soldiers have made arrangements arrange-ments to attend the university owing to permission granted them by the government. gov-ernment. All men who entered military service who wish to continue their studies may do so providing they have not been called to the front. Members of regents are now discussing discuss-ing the advisability of permitting any of the soldiers at Fort Douglas to enter the school. The matter will be decided unon at. a meeting which will bo held the first of next week. |
