Show SAYS RIGA MUST REMAIN GERMAN AMSTERDAM, Sept. 14.' 1 Only fools believe we shall ever give up Riga, ' ' explained Dr. Gustav Strese-maim, Strese-maim, National Liberal member of the ' reichstag, in addressing the crowd at the National Liberal meeting in Berlin vestenlay. Dr. Stresemann made a further fur-ther bitter attack upon President Wil- rf son's reply to Pope Benedicts's peace note. He took up the different points k successively and defended German militarism mili-tarism as a necessity pa the ground of the empire's geographical position. Peace, said Dr. Stresemann, had not been brought by the decision of the reiciistag majority recorded in the adoption adop-tion of its resolution. The sword alone could bring peace, he declared. |
