Show JUTTE 1 SPEEDS UP FOR HEW RECORD Get-away Day at Syracuse Featured by Excellent ' Race Programme. SYRACUSE, X. Y., Sept. 14. The getaway-day programme of the Grand circuit cir-cuit here today was featured by several exceptionally good races and an exhibl-I exhibl-I tion mile against time by Butte Hal, who paced the circuit in 2:02i, lowering his own amateur mark by one-half second. Abbie Dryad, b. s.. by Wydrad, and driven by Geers, captured the first race of the day, the 2:1'J pace, ?1000 stake, in two out of three heats. Poor-man, Poor-man, Murphy up, picked as the probable winner, had the race won In the last heat, but broke in the stretch 2u0 feet from the wire. Poorma'n had taken the second heat, finishing second In the first. Me led from the start in the final encounter. The second race, 2:13 trot, $1U00 purse, was won by Echo Direct, Murray driving. Kcho Direct was an added starter. His mark now is 2:0SU. Jess Y., by Wilask-JJiuebell Wilask-JJiuebell Carter, McDonald up, had a walkaway in the last two heats of the 2;03 trot, amateurs, for a trophy, while Lord Dynden won the 2 :20 trot for 3-year-olas, another trophy race, in two raight heats.
