Show BELIEVES MRS. KING WAS MURDER VICTIM SALISBURY. N. C. Sept. 14. Declaring Declar-ing ihat important evidence had been uncovered un-covered which gives him reason to believe be-lieve that the death near Concord, N. C, on AiiRust 2?, of Mrs. Maude A. Kin?, wealthy Chicago widow, was neither a suicide nor an accident. State -Solicitor Havdeu Clement announced late today that he would ask the coroner of Cabarrus Cabar-rus county to reopen the inquiry into the case on September 2-1. This date was s-lectftd. s-lectftd. he said, so that he may have time to secure "certain documentary evidence which will be introduced at the inquest." The solicitor did not say what this documentary evidence was. but it was generally understood to include some of that which District Attorney Swann announced an-nounced lie had found in a search of the New York apartment of Gaston B. Means, business manager for Mrs. King, who was one of a pariv with her when she was killed. |
